Bronopol is odorless and tasteless crystalline powder, which may vary from white to pale yellow in color,readily soluble in water,ethanol and Propanediol, poorly soluble in chloroform, acetone and benzene, with a melting point of higher than 129~131℃.Bronopol should not be used together with certain metals like aluminum due to its slow decomposition in aqueous solution under alkaline condition. Besides its Industrial use of bactericide, fungicide, preservatives and algicide, bronopol is also used as biocide mainly in industrial circulating water and circulating cool water systems in paper pulp, coating, plastics, cosmetic, wood, etc.

1. As a preservative in cosmetics added to shampoo, balsam and cream during processing, the bactericidal concentrations should be 0.01%-0.02%.
2. As a bactericide, BNP has high activity against a variety of plant pathogenic bacteria. When used to treat the cotton seed, it can effectively prevent the balckarm, boll rot caused by, no chemical injury to cotton. BNP can also be used to control bakanae disease of rice. The dosage of 800-1000mg/L is preferred.
3. As detergent and textile finishing agents
No visible stimulation to skin. In case of contact, flush with water.
25L in paper drum/25kg net in plastic woven bag, or as customers’ requirement. Storage for twelve months in shady, cool and dry room with good ventilation.
